Ujëvara e Jezercit
Jezerc village, one of the largest rural settlements in Kosovo by area, is known for its natural beauty and historical depth. The waterfall is part of the village’s forested terrain, fed by mountain runoff and seasonal springs. It flows most visibly during spring and early summer, when snowmelt and rainfall swell the stream.
The trail to the waterfall is informal but well-trodden, often used by locals and weekend hikers. The surrounding area includes pine groves, wildflowers, and panoramic views of the Ferizaj valley. While not yet part of a formal national park, Jezerc Waterfall is featured in regional tourism guides and promoted by Ferizaj’s municipal tourism office as a nature-based attraction.
The site has also gained attention for its proximity to the bifurcation of the Nerodime River—a rare hydrological phenomenon where the river splits and flows into two different seas. This makes Jezerc a compelling destination for both casual visitors and geography enthusiasts.
Efforts are underway to improve signage and trail maintenance, with local guides offering informal tours during peak seasons. The waterfall remains a symbol of Jezerc’s quiet charm and Ferizaj’s growing eco-tourism appeal.
