Desserts

Syrupy pastries, creamy puddings, and festive sweets that end every meal.

Kosovo’s desserts balance Ottoman heritage with modern favorites. Baklava (walnut or pistachio) and revani (semolina cake) are classic syrupy pastries. Trileçe (three‑milk cake) is a popular import. Rice pudding (sutliash), tulumba, and halva are home‑style comforts. Most desserts are very sweet, best enjoyed with coffee.

Glauk grew up in his family's bakery in Prizren. He has judged desserts competitions across Kosovo and believes that the simplest sweets are the hardest to perfect.
